In order to effectively support the technology needs of the College of Design, the Information Technology department has developed operating policies.

General Usage Policies for the William Keating Bayley Information Technology Laboratory and Departmental Computing Clusters

          • Users must also abide by the NC State University Computer Use Policy.
          • The William Keating Bayley Information Technology Laboratory and Departmental Computing Clusters are to be used only by current College of Design students, faculty and staff.
          • Computers in Departmental Computing Clusters are available to all College of Design students, faculty and staff regardless of their departmental affiliation. However, users from particular departments have priority to the equipment within their studio spaces and surrounding areas. Some clusters are located in common areas to provide general availability to all College of Design users.
          • The College of Design has made significant investments in the IT equipment and infrastructure. Users are to treat IT resources with great care and professionalism. Users who damage, abuse and/or remove equipment are subject to discipline.
