Designed by Brion Gysin, painter, writer, and sound poet, and Ian Sommerville, engineer, The Dreamachine creates a mathematically-devised stroboscopic flicker that is said to &#8220;alters the brain&#8217;s electrical oscillations&#8221; and put one in a meditative, and even hallucinogenic, trace.
