I’ve lost my headphones. I’m sure they’ll turn up somewhere, but it’s been really strange not having them. I’m not used to being so present in a space. It’s strange how we get so used to a technology that when we’re forced to exist without it, it throws us off balance. Even 10 years ago, the idea of constantly having a pair of headphones with me would have been a strange concept. Yes, I had one of the early iPods, but I wasn’t glued to it the way I am to my iPhone. Without my headphones, I keep finding myself distracted by the things around me that I would normally be able to ignore. I also find myself watching less off topic YouTube videos than before…
It got to the point that I put my hood up as an attempt to separate myself from the rest of my studio space. It didn’t work, but I came up with a great new idea for wearable tech: hoodies with built in headphones/speakers. Imagine connecting to your clothes via bluetooth…
Just a random thought to put out there….
