The New Normal

This COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging road, but as designers, we always find a way to adapt to any circumstance. From March until now, I have been inside my home reading and researching. I just celebrated my twenty-fifth birthday on Memorial Day (COVID Style). Thesis is slowly approaching and its best to start now while there is free time available. Speaking of thesis, it was great to see all of the final year students present via Zoom as well as seeing all of the alumni from previous years. My concern about the upcoming fall semester is that it may be virtual classes again. I love the face-to-face environment and sharing that environment with my peers. We all take away a lot from sharing the studio space, and inside the classroom. I hope we all can reunite soon and enjoy the rest of our time being MGD students in person.
