For list of approved 3D print filaments that have been tested with the Fusion3 F410 3D Printer please visit:
https://go.ncsu.edu/lampe_fusion (PDF Document)
Please note that the Maker Space is unable to print ABS plastics, or any listed filaments with corrosive additive materials such a metal fills, or carbon fibers.
Direct access to the 3D printers is not available to users. Please plan ahead. You may be able to print directly to the MakerBot Sketch 3D printers in the hybrid computer clusters or access the Ender 3 V2 Pro 3D printers in Lampe Digital Fabrication Studio.
Please email us (design_digitalfab@ncsu.edu) before purchasing filaments for use in the Maker Space use to insure we can support them properly. In addition, your prints may be free as some disciplines and faculty members have pre-purchased filament/resin materials for student use within a studio/class. A short list of approved PLA/PLA+/PETG vendors is also available on our 3D Printing Filament Guideline here.
Please contact Jason Whitman (design_digitalfab@ncsu.edu) with any additional requests, maintenance needs, or questions.
